My name is Vannessa Watson

Vannessa is an AANP board certified family nurse practitioner. Born and raised in McCreary County, she currently resides in Pine Knot, Ky with her husband Steve and daughter Kaylee. She is of Christian faith and is thankful to call herself a child of God. She loves God, making memories with her family, camping, music, classic cars, and traveling.

Vannessa is a 2005 graduate of McCreary Central high school. After high school, she began pursuit of her nursing career. In 2012, she graduated from Somerset Community College with an associate degree of nursing science-Registered Nurse. In 2016, she became certified by the American board of neuroscience nursing as a stroke certified registered nurse (SCRN). In 2017, she received her Bachelor of Nursing Science degree from the University of the Cumberlands, and then in 2021, graduated from the University of the Cumberlands with a Masters in nursing science- family nurse practitioner. Her tenure of nursing practice includes; neuroscience critical care nursing, acute stroke care, nursing management, nurse educator, and community/public health nursing. Her board certification in family practice allows her to provide care for all age groups across the lifespan, and provide treatment of all diagnosis including, preventive and wellness exams to chronic disease management.

Vannessa is thankful to be able to provide care to the citizens of McCreary County, it has always been her goal to give back to the community that shaped her. Everything she has ever wanted for her career path is here in her hometown and is excited to build long lasting relationships with the citizens of McCreary County.
