My name is Tricia Jackson, I have been practicing as a Family Health Nurse Practitioner for 4 years. I strive to treat each patient as I would want a member of my family treated as I attempt to listen closely and address all their concerns. I never want any of my patients to feel that I do not genuinely care or that I do not have time for them.

I earned my Masters of Science in Nursing degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and graduated with honors. Prior to beginning my career as a Nurse Practitioner, I was an Oncology Nurse for 12 years at UK's Markey Cancer Center.

When I graduated, one of my many career goals was to give back to my community. As a Nurse Practitioner for Family Health Care Associates, I am blessed to be placed in the Garrard County school system and community which will allow me to make a difference in many lives through preventative care as well as caring for various illnesses when needed. This job will allow me to find ways to help members of the Garrard County community to become healthier resulting in a better place to live.

I enjoy gardening, relaxing with a good book on the front porch or deck, hiking to waterfalls, fishing, deer hunting, watching the sun rise and set at the ocean, and just relaxing on the beach with a good book as I watch and listen to the waves rise and fall. I find it important to spend quality time with my husband of 26 years, my family, friends, and my four-legged children. I am also an avid football fan who holds season tickets to UK football. In the fall, I can be found tailgating in the blue lot of Kroger field.

There is a couple interesting facts about myself, one you may never believe. The first time I took my husband's rifle off safety, I shot an eight-point buck. Needless to say, he purchased me my own rifle after that occurrence. Almost three years ago, I was shot by a stray 22-gauge bullet in my backyard in the right lower leg and was able to walk away with just a bullet hole.
